Description
The OPUS 1 was developed for players who prefer a variable, controlled offensive game and place particular emphasis on a soft, precise touch. Its balanced dynamics allow for smooth transitions between passive and active shots. The prolonged ball contact time enhances control and spin.
It is made from five layers of premium wood only: Limba for the outer and intermediate veneers, and an Ayous core. This construction follows the tradition of legendary blades from past decades, cherished by many great players. The material combination delivers a harmonious playing feel with natural feedback.
The plies are bonded using real hide glue, a technique borrowed from traditional violin making that is rarely used today. This natural adhesive not only creates a stable bond between the layers but also preserves the acoustic properties of the wood and intensifies tactile feedback with every ball contact.
With its refined touch, excellent spin potential, and deliberate use of traditional materials, the OPUS 1 is a revival of classic table tennis culture. It is suitable for players of all skill levels who prioritize control and feel. However, it is not recommended for those who favor maximum power or a modern high-speed playing style.
