The outer ply is made of hard Koto wood, known for its fast, elastic feel and direct ball response. Beneath it lies a layer of carbon fiber that increases stiffness, expands the sweet spot, and adds explosive acceleration.
The mid-ply consists of Ayous, a light and elastic wood that forms a stable bridge between the dynamic outer layers and the core. The core itself is made of kiri wood, prized for its light weight and quick rebound. Altogether, the construction creates a very stiff and hard blade that delivers a crisp, direct ball contact. The result is tremendous power combined with high precision, ideal for fast-paced offensive play with short contact time.
All layers of the WAVE are bonded using epoxy resin, ensuring maximum structural strength and precise, linear energy transfer.
